The Apostle Paul's point in this section of Romans 10 is that salvation is right in front of your eyes. You don't have to scale Everest or brave Dante's Inferno to find God. You only have to believe in Jesus and receive what he's already done for you.
That's good news. That's the gospel.
The Christian life is a life of faith; we don't merely enter Christianity by faith, we live every day by faith. Faith is the building block of the Christian life; out of it comes knowledge of God, love for God, and obedience to God.
