What is Better Than Jesus in the Flesh? Paul the Apostle reveals the unfathomable glory of the New Covenant in Jesus: the privilege of living face to face with God. In this chapter the Apostle compares the glory of the Old Covenant Law (the Ten Commandments and all) with the surpassing glory of the New Covenant in Jesus.
This new relationship provides us the opportunity to behold the glory of the Lord in the gospel of Jesus Christ. The gospel paints for us a picture of the living God; Jesus revealed the nature and character of God when he became man. Moreover, he indwells his followers today by the Holy Spirit.
What could be better than Jesus showing up physically and being your best friend and moving in and being your divine, King-of-Eternity-Savior-of-the-World roommate? Jesus moving into your heart and indwelling, fulfilling and empowering you for life.
