Children's Church Cancelled

Children are vitally important at Anchor--but we don't have enough kids to make a children's church right now!  Anchor is almost 90% singles, college and post-college age, with a few young couples.  Our median age is about 21.

Over the past year we have had a handful of children attend and benefit from our Children's Ministry.  We have an amazing Curriculum Director and some wonderful teachers, but Anchor persists in being a church for young adults.

So, for the time being, we will not be providing nursery care or Sunday school for kids.  We are apologize to anyone who may be inconvenienced by this new arrangement--children of all ages are welcomed into the main worship service.  We are praying for a children's pastor who is passionate about children's ministry.  We are also praying for more families to diversify Anchor's church family. 

FUTURE CHILDREN'S MINISTRY:  Our vision for our future children's ministry is to create a an exciting learning experience on Sundays for kids through 3rd grade.  After 3rd grade, we invite children to assimilate into the main worship service, where our music and teaching take their age and growth level into consideration--while also challenging them to reach a little beyond where they are.
